Android's market share will decline in 2016 - The company International Data Corporation (IDC) has published a new press release, stating that Android will reach its peak this year.
According to IDC, the share of Android will reach 61% of the total market share in 2012 and will decline to 52.9% in 2016. But will it really fall?

If we evaluate only the interest, then yes. However, a study by IDC indicates that the total number of smart phones to be sold in 2016 will be much more than in 2012. The refore, 52.9 percent ofthe market share of smartphones in 2016 will be much higher than the figures of this year.
The same argument holds for other mobile platforms mentioned in the press release: iOS, Windows Phone, BlackBerry and others. Share iOS, is expected to decrease from 20.5% to 19.0% in the next four years, while the share of Windows Phone will grow to 19.2% in subsequent years.

IDC says that the number of phones manufactured this year will amount to 1.8 billion units, an increase of 100 million more than last year.
By 2016, this number is expected to increase to 2.3 billion units.
